April has been doing massage in Spearfish for 14 years. She graduated from Black Hills State University in 2004 with a wellness management degree and went on to massage school in Maui, Hawaii! She specializes in deep tissue and sports massage. April loves helping people become more functional through massage therapy. She is a mother of 4 children and has grown up and lived in the Black Hills her whole life.

Meet our massage therapist Courtney Enstad. She is a graduate of Nevada school of massage therapy and has been a massage therapist for 11 years. She specializes in deep tissue, therapeutic and sports massage.

Megan Duncan

My name is Megan Duncan and I’m so excited to work at Blackhills Salt Cave and Spa! I’m originally from Louisiana, but came to South Dakota when my parents were stationed at Ellsworth. I just received my esthetician’s license and graduated from Headlines Academy in Rapid City! I perform facials, and body waxing!
As an esthetician, I aim to treat skin concerns and help clients feel good in their own skin! It’s my passion and I can’t wait to start my career!

Charlotte Ladson
Massage Therapist/ Reiki Master Healer

Charlotte Ladson is a graduate from Paul Mitchell the School of Rapid City, as a massage therapist. She is born and raised in the Black Hills and has a strong passion and desire to be of service to others. She is a Reiki Master Healer as well. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. She looks forward to building her career as a massage therapist and a reiki master healer, by being of service to others, to help assist in tension and stress relief, through manual manipulation of the muscles.

Cathy White
Lymphatic Therapist/Massage Therapist

Cathy offers anti-cellulite maneuvers and Swedish massage, among many others. Cathy graduated from massage therapy school 17 years ago & has utilized a great number of her skills while working as a physical therapist assistant in an outpatient setting. She has a love of lifetime learning and has participated in 26 years of continuing education, focusing on soft tissue mobilization, manual techniques, and integrative functional therapy techniques (weislefish). She has found it very rewarding working with the lymphatic system. She specializes in “all things Lymph!” such as lymphatic drainage techniques, total lymphatic balancing, complete decongestive physiotherapy (Lymphedema), and pre/post surgical interventions.

Cathy will be going on temporary leave starting July 24th.

Lanea Tonack
Massage Therapist

Lanea has 25 years of Massage Therapy experience, graduating and receiving her certification from The Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado. She's certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTBMB), the highest and most rigorous standard prescribed in the United States and currently has a license in the state of South Dakota.She has taken numerous continuing educational courses to broaden her skills to tailor her massage to each client’s individual needs. She is trained and practices the following modalities which include Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Warm Stone, Bamboo Fusion, Aromatherapy, Pre-Natal, Neuro-Muscular Therapy, Warm oil scalp and Hydro-Therapy Treatments.

The one thing that drives her with massage therapy is her passion and love for what she does. Lanea believes massage therapy is an important healing method that is useful for reducing stress, relieving pain, enhancing well-being and improving the quality of life. This in turn can heighten an individual’s awareness of physical, mental, and emotional processes to provide opportunities for personal growth, transformation, and healing. She enjoys being able to work in a relaxing and private environment where she can assist her clients in achieving optimal health, balance, and the well-being they deserve.
